Overview
This Privacy Policy explains how Sentinel Software LLC collects, uses, and shares information when you use Sentinel-ASO (the “Service”).
Sentinel-ASO is an app intelligence and ASO analytics platform. It collects and organizes publicly available app store data and provides tools that help users track apps, developers, listing changes, and review trends over time.
Scope
This policy applies to Sentinel-ASO, including the web application, related subdomains, and API endpoints under sentinelaso.com.
The Sentinel Software LLC marketing website has separate legal pages. This policy does not cover third-party websites or services you may access through links.
Sentinel-ASO is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Apple or Google. Trademarks and product names belong to their respective owners.
Information We Collect
We collect information in three ways: (1) information you provide, (2) information collected automatically when you use the Service, and (3) information collected from public sources such as app stores.
Account Information
When you create an account, we collect information such as your email address and account identifiers (for example a username). You may also provide profile fields such as your name or phone number.
If you sign in using a third-party provider (for example Google), we receive basic account information from that provider based on what you authorize.
Authentication and Security Data
We use session identifiers, authentication tokens, and similar mechanisms to keep you signed in and protect accounts.
We also collect security-related data such as login timestamps, IP address, and device/browser information (like user agent) to prevent abuse, troubleshoot issues, and keep the platform secure.
Usage and Product Activity
The Service uses a plan and credit model. To operate the Service, we track feature usage at a functional level (for example usage counts and credit consumption) and store product activity that you create or request.
Examples include saved searches, collections (saved app lists), alerts configuration, basic account settings, and related history needed to provide continuity and enforce plan limits.
Newsletter and Waitlist
If you join a newsletter or waitlist, we collect your email address and limited signup details (for example signup source and platform preferences if you provide them).
We may also store basic metadata such as IP address and user agent for security, abuse prevention, and list hygiene. You can unsubscribe at any time through the link in our emails when available.
Billing and Purchases
If you subscribe or purchase credits, payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your full payment card details on our servers.
We store billing records needed to operate the Service, such as your subscription status, invoices, and Stripe-related identifiers (for example customer or subscription IDs), along with transaction timestamps and amounts.
Public App Store Data
Sentinel-ASO collects and stores information that is publicly available on app store listings, such as app metadata, descriptions, screenshots, categories, pricing information, and developer information.
We also collect and store publicly available reviews and related fields, which may include review text, rating, date, and public profile information displayed by the app store (for example reviewer display name and avatar, when available).
If you believe content displayed in Sentinel-ASO should be removed or corrected, contact us. We cannot change the original source, but we can review requests and, if appropriate, update how the information is shown in the Service.
How We Use Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide and operate the Service and the API.
- Create and manage accounts and authentication.
- Track usage and credits to enforce plan limits and prevent abuse.
- Provide saved items and continuity features (saved searches, collections, alerts).
- Process subscriptions and credit purchases and maintain transaction records.
- Provide customer support and handle feedback and inquiries.
- Secure the Service, detect fraud, and investigate suspicious activity.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
Data Retention and Deletion
We retain account data and user content while your account is active so we can provide the Service.
If you request account deletion, we delete your account and associated user content from our primary systems. Some information may be retained longer where necessary for billing records, fraud prevention, security, or legal obligations.
Public app store data is part of the core product dataset, and we may retain it long-term for historical tracking and analysis.
Security
We take reasonable measures to protect information, such as access controls and encryption in transit. No system can be guaranteed to be 100 percent secure, and you are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential.
Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete personal information we hold about you. You may also object to certain processing or request restriction in some cases.
To make a request, contact us. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling certain requests.
International Use and Transfers
Sentinel Software LLC is a US company (Wyoming). Our infrastructure is currently hosted in Europe (Contabo Hub Europe). Our team may access systems from different countries to operate and support the Service.
Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international data transfers.
Children
Sentinel-ASO is a paid service and is not intended for children. You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to purchase a subscription. If we learn that a minor has provided personal information, we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make changes, we will update the "Last updated" date and publish the revised policy here.
